Every once in a while I check my stats page, sometimes to see what types of posts get viewed the most, sometimes to see the most popular times, but my favorite part of that page is to see what countries people are from.
In the past year I have had views from the obvious countries I had lived in such as United States and the United Kingdom. Then I have countries like Italy and Netherlands where I had traveled to and had tags about. Not really that shocking, but it’s still really exciting to see. Then comes Singapore and Australia, Japan and Ukraine. These intrigue me. I always wonder how these wonderful viewers came to see my blog. Did I comment on something and not realize what part of the world you were from? Did you find me in the comments? Were you just browsing different tags?
One thing I love about blogging is that you can realize how common of interests people from around the globe are. For example, one of the blogs I follow is from Sri Lanka and she writes about books that I know of and some I have read. I follow a couple travel blogs that are constantly changing location and sharing what they are doing, one was just in South Africa (I’m totally jealous). It’s all just things that interest me and I never realized people in other countries want to hear about these things.
So here’s to everyone, whether you’re just stopping by or read all the time. Thank you, drop a note, I love hearing what everyone has to say.
